Our Equipment
At Arlington Precision the range of sophisticated equipment plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest level of precision and quality in our manufacturing processes. We machine stainless steel alloys, titanium, brass, cobalt/chrome, carbon steel, heat/treated steels, aluminum alloys, plastics, urethane, carbon fiber and phenolic materials. Here’s a preview of just some of the machines we work with:
3 and 4 Axis CNC Mills
These sophisticated milling machines allow for precise cutting and shaping of materials. The 3-axis mill operates on the X, Y, and Z axes, ideal for most standard milling jobs. The 4-axis mill adds the capability to rotate the workpiece, which is crucial for creating more complex geometries and reducing the need for repositioning, thereby increasing precision and efficiency in production.
2 Axis CNC Lathe
This type of lathe provides high precision in machining cylindrical and symmetrical parts by rotating the workpiece against fixed cutting tools along two axes. It’s essential for operations that require fine detail and smooth finishes on rotational parts.
Multi Axis Lathe with Live Tooling
This advanced lathe combines the capabilities of a standard lathe with additional axes and live tooling, which allows for turning, milling, and drilling operations to be performed in a single setup. This reduces handling and increases the accuracy and complexity of parts that can be produced, making it perfect for intricate designs.
Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining)
Wire EDM uses a thin wire and electrical sparks to cut precise contours and intricate details in hard metals. This method is highly precise and ideal for producing delicate and extremely accurate parts used in tool and die making, aerospace, and other industries requiring tight tolerances.
Surface Grinder
This machine provides smooth finishes on flat surfaces. It’s essential for achieving precise thickness, flatness, and surface integrity, enhancing the quality and functionality of parts in applications that demand high precision.
Heat Treat Ovens
These ovens are used to alter the physical and chemical properties of metals, enhancing their hardness, strength, and resistance to wear. Controlled heat treating is critical for achieving specific material characteristics and performance in demanding industrial applications.
